Stars and Moons
The Lonely Forest
(Concept: In which our hero questions life on Earth and envisions Cygnus)
The stars are shining bright through his window.
So much for good rest. He's not sleeping.
So he steps outside for some fresh air
To breathe again?
Staring out into infinite space,
This earth and it's billions of people
Can't help feel we're all on our own here?
Is someone there?
Across the stars and moons afar,
something speaks to me deep inside.
Says I'm not the only one
Wishing upon the moon tonight.
If I could soar away from this
I'd start again with peace in mind.
If I could I leave this all behind.
All of this weighs heavy on my mind.
Hear my plea tonight!
So he crawls back into his warm bed
and there he dreams a prophetic vision.
A starship and it's sailors flying towards
The Northern Cross.
Across the stars and moons afar,
something speaks to me deep inside.
Says I'm not the only one
Wishing upon moons tonight.
It I could soar away from this
I'd start again with peace in mind.
If I could I leave this all behind.
