Stick Upon Stick (32nd Street Swamp)
The Lonely Forest
Stick upon stick
Held tight and slick
Building a house for her young
Life underwater is chilly and dim
Behind the dam wall snakes a river of sin
It's fast and it's thick but she'll never give in
Down came her tail when the boy learned to swim
He'll be taken for sure by wolves or a bear
Off in a dark wood dying bloodied and bare
Meanwhile the son swimming fast and strong
Had scars on his back, his strength was never gone
But alive and living he remained
Everything new and beautiful
The scars were more evidence of the
Freedom he felt in his life,
But not in his heart"¦
