Structupoppie Rally

The Color Bars
Everything good and everything evil laid out on the basement floor
Our attempt to prevent the violent upheaval of the dream we fought for
Since we ran out ammunition we've been so better for it baby
Now our rifles serve as walking sticks
It's more clear now than it's ever been you're the only person I can trust in
To reassemble my every construction
I can turn up the drums playing in my head
If you don't like the sound I can sing instead
You can dance to my false-heart tenor tones
If you're bored and you need to be entertained
You can thumb through the pulp novels in my brain
You can change all the names if you want or kill everyone off
This trip we're on only lasts forever so we're always halfway there
Over Dante's tomb I told you I'd never give you cause to be scared
You can star in the sitcom inside my skull
And retire when you feel like the joke gets dull
All the syndicate rights will be yours alone
You can ink all the comics I never drew
You can do all the letters and colors too
You can change all the names if you want or kill everyone off
Turns out curiosity only made the cat a little fatter
Overfed but no worse for the wear
There's no terminal diagnosis just an endless stream of supposition
It's not good or bad it's just our condition
