We The Dying
Below us is hellfire and are we to be burned
Consumed before the dead watching it makes my stomach turn
There is a feeding frenzy the lions smell our blood
This is our punishment and what we deserve
Slowly counting down we fall into the fray
That none of us could escape from
We were left to burn as tables turn we are hungry none to claim
As our leaders become desperate we forget each other's names
Sealing the final nail in our coffin for so long we are breathing
Yet we, we the dying
Unload me of this burden that my heart cannot bear
Once hopeful and of good faith is eaten by despair
We were fed with lies so many times can't decipher it's all the same
We dance a waltz of tragedy of vanity and fame
Tongues speak in words a language forgotten scriptures transcribed
We shall rise
Desperate measures of a thousand failures words intertwined
Fabricated on lies
Mistaken for kindness our death's catalyst each other we kill
Defeating the purpose of life
Carry your crosses to nameless mountains we achieve nothing
A valid reason we die
