We, The Reserveless
House vs. Hurricane
needless to say it is difficult,
to hold a molded choice of the character you are,
in a place that attempts a forceful persuasion of us all.
but we can hold out, we can refuse and resist.
all their efforts are seemingly relentless.
but I won't give up my mind for evil men.
brothers, we are all the same.
it's what we need to see through this haze.
one mind is not enough, our mindful minds are all we need.
if there is ever a moment we are complacent,
to stop and see the way we've grown into hate.
(bound by a caged mind, free yourself)
the basis of our being, a free will inside nobody can take.
(bound by a caged mind, think without restraint)
we have a choice, become the change we want to see in all.
look to the people left and right.
we shouldn't look for a change in the sky.
it's a life we share and we must dispel that illusion here.
(your disguise is transparent to me,
I see right through your empty hands.)
confused and misinformed but defined.
but where it counts we're free.
the way it'll always be.
