let's get one thing straight
it's not about the songs, the music, or the words
all that matters is what we do for each other
yet there are so many people content on fighting against us
in effort to protect themselves, and keep away what has come their way
but the best way to take care of yourself is to take care of someone else
but we're lead to believe we have to make it on our own
and that our trust has no place
because in nothing and among no one will we find loyalty
but i won't believe that, no matter what is said
i know that i'll be selfish, at times consumed with greed
yet i'll know in love and support, i'll find all that i need
