With Our Lives
In the Face of War
there's nothing more important to me than the people right here
they've always been there when I have needed them
and I'll always be there when they need me
i can't think of anything better
than the friendship that we share
I'm more than lucky
to know these people
and I can't do enough to thank them
some people say that you can't trust anyone
but we trust each other with our lives
in the end, I know it's true that i will die alone
but for now and every minute until then, we live together
this winter will never end
and all I've got for warmth are my friends
the snow will fall and everything will freeze
but from here on in it's just you and me
a promise for today brings hope for tomorrow
how did we ever get so frail
i know we'll cut each other's throats
somehow we'll still learn to forgive
nobody's perfect
if summer never comes again
I'll still lay down my life for my friends
