Shotgun
Scott Liss & the Sixty-Six
A shotgun and a shower of four letter words;
seemingly unaware, but I know what I heard.
Hot-blooded, hell-bent on causing a scene,
a sick reality, trust,
do you know what I mean?
Under fire, how fortunate that I have been,
I keep on pushing my luck, it keeps on pulling me in.
The bells toll and I wake in the strangest of dreams
they're the ones I forget;
don't know where I been.
Just not said and done
'til you think I've said it all,
I doubt it.
And I refuse to say or do
anymore for fear of you,
I doubt it.
A sharp break in the silence, it rings through the rain;
Second-guess every step and always lose what I gain.
Backtrack, wide awake with my own to defend
I started formless and free,
I don't know what happened.
Just not said and done
'til I think I've said it all,
I doubt it.
I refuse to say or do
anymore for fear of you,
I doubt it.
It's time we tell we've all been drifting, oh hell
It's time we tell we've all been drifting, oh hell
It's time we tell we are the victims of an ----
a lie within
that seems to be caving in.
