The Body Breaks
Scott Liss & the Sixty-Six
Always seem to see the beauty in the rainfall
but beauty is so painful
when thoughts reflecting back turn your heart to black.
And love is all
love is
a gentle dulling sadness
a pain that never passes
the echo of a dream out of reach, it seems.
It's better to leave it alone now.
It's better to let it break down.
It's better to sit back and watch now
than try to figure it out.
You're partly to blame for the rainclouds
following your life around,
but you're never gonna change.
Deliberate defense; try to keep your distance
from all these holy moments
that rest between the days,
that slowly pass away.
It's better to leave it alone now.
It's better let it break down.
It's better to sit back and watch now
than try to figure it out.
You're partly to blame for the rainclouds
following your life around,
but you're never gonna"¦..;;;;;
And I don't believe a single thing that I have ever seen
and the voice inside my head's now drowning out all the melodies
because I don't believe a thing I've got.
And it ain't too much to ask for you to pull me back again
when I'm falling out of sight and out of touch with everything
because I don't believe a thing I've got.
It's better to leave it alone now.
It's better let it break down.
It's better
to
sit back and watch now
than try to figure it out.
You're partly to blame for the rain.
