Solitude
Spirit and Dust
I will walk down that long road, all by myself
I will sleep like a baby whenever I rest
I will drink all the wine I can gather to me
I will work in the cane fields til death sets me free
I will walk by the river in the shadowy depths
I will be a damn rambler till the day I lay dead
By the hour hand of wisdom I will tally my fate
In the face of oblivion ill have no respect
By my own religion I seek to be free
By proffering reason I suffer to be
By turning from love, and from all that Ive known
Ill walk my own highway, and walk it alone
Temptation wont drive me, oh, neither will hate
Songs of redemption to me make no sense
Ill take what im needing, ill need what I take
And ill walk down that long road all by myself
All by myself,
all by myself.
All by myself,
all by myself.
