Sour Grapes

In the Face of War

I am so inspired by this moment

Knowing all the things I feel I left incomplete I can't consider them failures

Every minute of every day is a fortunate one

This moment is everything I've been waiting for

If I focus on what I have now, I'll make up for what I neglected then

It doesn't take anything at all to change things forever

Curiosity is the only impulse that I can trust

The only thing I can do is navigate the course of my feelings

I know I have seen things I shouldn't have seen

And I know I have said things that I didn't mean

Iíve invested so much of myself in a lie

When my need for illusion was deep

Iíve been taught things that I shouldn't have learned

Pieces of truths twisted and turned

Some decisions were made, some bridges were burned

There were promises I couldnít keep

But I can't let a few sour grapes ruin the whole feast

When I do something new, I feel invincible, I feel alive
