Breezy Club

Daniel Johns
V1/ Mr Mills had the old boatshed down on Mansion Bay the locals called the Breezy Club and Sat'dy night they'd play they'd dance to the grown of the ol' gramophone and rock that old dock floor, get merry on ol' Bert's own brew fresh bread and oysters raw.
Chorus"¦an' me dad and me mum well they all had fun they could do an ol' bush fling, stamp ya feet and clap ya hands yee harr!! you could hear them sing...
yo de lay di oh yo de day de oh etc.
V2/ On a rusty drum sat a little boy drinkin' lemonade, then on dad's shoulders trudgin' back to the old bush shack they made, where cicidas roar outside the door 'cross a shimmerin' moonlight bay and the breezy night was once more quiet until next Saturday...
chorus"¦an' me dad and me mum well they all had fun they could do an ol' bush fling, stamp ya feet and clap ya hands yee harr!! you could hear them sing...
yo de lay di oh yo de day de oh etc.
V3/ The gum leaves rustling at night was magic in the air, the twinkle of the endless stars in a chilly night I'd stare by the tin shed club in the mangrove mud those days will never die of kero lamps and mozzie nets and the crackle of the fire.
sing chorus and repeat yodel part.
